Dominic Rickard: Legend of the Week is a Great Promotion | Online Poker News und Updates

The Legend of the Week promotion is proving extremely popular thanks in part to rewarding Daily Legends grinders with masses of value. Dominic Rickard is one partypoker player who has benefited from this value-packed promotion having finished in first-place on Leaderboard 3 and securing a tickets package worth $815.

Dominic is a 25-year-old who usually lives in London but has been living with his sister and her partner since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s played poker since his early teens but began grinding online while studying for his degree at university.

“I discovered the game in my early teens playing with friends, but upon arriving at Southampton University I started playing online at the local Grosvenor Casino throughout my bachelor’s degree. I then took a masters degree at London School of Economics and by the time I had completed it I was committed to poker and played professionally.”

Amazingly, Dominic got his grind out without trying to top the Legends of the Week leaderboard, it just kind of happened without him knowing about the promotion!

Waking Up To a Tournament Tickets Package

“Quite honestly, I didn’t even realise there was a promotion! I saw a video on Twitter on Sunday night about a Daily Legends leaderboard but I was down heaps so didn’t really pay too much attention to it; I was too tilted! The I woke up on Monday to an email letting me know I had won a leaderboard so that was a nice surprise, especially when I checked my account and there was nearly $1,000 worth of tickets in there. It definitely made up for Sunday!”

Dominic won a tournament package of a $215 Warrior ticket, three $150 Daily Legends tickets, and an entry to the $320 buy-in The 300 for taking down Leaderboard 3, which is for our $11 buy-in Daily Legends.

“I’m definitely most excited about the $320 tournament. I love a good bounty tournament so looking forward to taking some big scalps. I love the Daily Legends tournaments, it’s helped me keep most of my action in tourneys and I’m very please to see they are well supported. I will take down The Predator one day soon, I can surely only final table bubble it so many times!”

We hope Dominic does because we all have that one nemesis tournament, don’t we?

More Incentive to Play High-Value Tournaments

Topping the leaderboard is a great achievement and the prizes offered show you don’t have to spend a lot to win big at partypoker. Understandably, Dominic is now a big fan of the Legend of the Week promotion.

“The Legend of the Week is a great promotion and provides even more incentive to play these high-value tournaments and will lead to players with a low average buy-in getting to experience tournaments they wouldn’t have the bankroll for otherwise.”

Aside from taking down The 300, Dominic hopes to end the current year without having to endure a downswing; sorry, we can’t help you there! Before Dominic signed off, he left us with some delightful comments.

“I’m very appreciative of the work partypoker do for the players. It’s definitely come on leaps and bounds in recent years and I hope to see continued success for the site.”

Learn More About Daily Legends and the Legend of the Week

Daily Legends, as the name suggests, run each and every day at partypoker. They have buy-ins from $1.10 meaning there’s a Daily Legends for everyone.

The Legend of the Week promotion runs Monday through Saturday and sees you earn leaderboard points for each eligible Daily legends tournament you play. The leaderboards are split into five based on the tournament’s buy-in so you’re only competing against players at your buy-in level.
